Day Rehab & Intensive Treatment, Santa Barbara County

Overview

Our Day Rehab Services (DRS) and Day Treatment Intensive (DTI) program provides structured, intensive behavioral health support for youth who need more care than traditional outpatient services can provide.

Through a combination of therapeutic, rehabilitative and skill-building services, participants receive support to strengthen daily functioning, build independence and remain successfully in their community.

These programs can help individuals avoid hospitalization or a more restrictive level of care while working toward greater stability, independence and quality of life.

How it Works

DRS and DTI provide structured programming in a therapeutic setting which includes group, individual and family services. Participants receive support from a multidisciplinary team based on their individual needs, strengths and treatment goals.

Programming may include:

  • Individual and group therapy
  • Skill-building and rehabilitation activities
  • Support for emotional regulation, coping and problem-solving
  • Development of independent living and daily functioning skills
  • Support for building healthy relationships and communication skills
  • Care coordination and connection to community resources
  • Collaboration with family members, caregivers and other members of the participant’s support system, as appropriate

The program provides consistent structure and therapeutic support while helping participants practice the skills they need to function more independently in their homes, schools, workplaces and communities.

For individuals who require a higher level of support, DTI offers intensive, multidisciplinary treatment designed to help stabilize symptoms, improve functioning and reduce the need for hospitalization or placement in a more restrictive setting.

Each participant works with their treatment team to identify goals, monitor progress and determine when they are ready to transition to a lower level of care or other community-based services.
