About the Conference

Children, youth, and families - as well as those who provide care and support to them - are living in a time where hope for the future is needed. Hope is an integral part of the healing experience and is exactly what those facing difficult circumstances in life need.

This conference aims to explore, restore promote hope for those involved in strengthening fami-lies around the world. Conference keynotes and workshops as well as optional pre-conference and networking opportunities will equip and refresh you in your personal and professional work with children, youth, and families.

For the first time this conference brings together eight years of a statewide conference focused on supporting the most challenged children and youth in the community together with the 3rd Child and Youth Care Conference which has gathered in Newfoundland and Labrador (Canada), Vienna (Austria), and now in Southern California (USA).

The conference venue is located just steps from the Pacific Ocean in Ventura, California - an hour north of Los Angeles International airport or the Bob Hope Burbank airport or a half hour south of the Santa Barbara airport. Rail access is available one block from the hotel from Bob Hope Burbank airport.

You are invited to join like-minded colleagues for four days of learning, networking, and strengthening your work in supporting children, youth, and families.

Call For Presentations

The planning committee invites you to submit your workshop proposal. Areas of interest include:
• Building hope
• Professional practices
• Cultural and human diversity
• Applied human development
• Relationships and communication
• Developmental practice methods

Please include the following details in your submission:
• Title
• Description (250 words maximum)
• Presenter(s) biography & email contact (50 words maximum)
• Presenter(s) resume/CV

All workshops are 90 minutes in length. All rooms will be supplied with a projector, screen, and laptop.

For each workshop accepted by the conference planning committee, one presenter will receive free registration for the conference. We do not pay speaker fees, travel, or lodging expenses.

Sponsorship and Exhibitor Opportunities

Sponsorships are available to interested organizations and individuals at the following levels. Sponsorships help in covering conference expenses, providing scholarships, and supporting the conference events.

Major Sponsor - $5000
Major sponsors receive three free registrations, exhibit table, opportunity to address participants before keynote session, and full-page advert placement in conference program.

Co-Sponsor - $2500
Co-sponsors receive two free registrations, exhibit table, and half-page advert placement in conference program.

Partner - $1000
Partners receive one free registration, exhibit table, and acknowledgment/logo placement in conference program.

Supporter $500
Supporters receive acknowledgment and logo placement in conference program.

Exhibitor - $500
Exhibitors receive a six-foot table, access for one to all conference meals (additional exhibitors must register for the conference), mention during the conference proceedings, and half-page advert placement in conference brochure.
