Camarillo, CA May 21, 2015 – With only two weeks left, limited general admission tickets are still available for the premier food and drink festival in Ventura County – the Casa Pacifica Angels Wine, Food & Brew Festival – which will be held on Sunday, June 7th, 2015, from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at California State University Channel Islands. Tickets are $125 through June 6th and $150 at the door the day of the Festival and can be purchased at www.cpwinefoodbrewfest.com. Festival guests will be treated to great wines, food, and brews, among other fun and exciting events!
In honor of the 10th birthday of Casa Pacifica’s first therapy dog – Archie – Chef Duff of the Food Network (former host of Ace of Cakes), who will be serving as a celebrity judge for the annual Yummie culinary competition, will be creating a life-sized Archie cake for the Festival! You won’t want to miss seeing (and maybe tasting) that!
In addition, first, second and third place winners in both Sweet and Savory categories will be awarded to exhibitors competing in the Yummie culinary competition. The competitors’ entries must be the same as the samples handed out to the Festival guests, so you can taste some of the finest fare in the County as judged by a panel of expert judges. And you won’t want to miss out tasting LAB Brewing Company’s barrel-aged oatmeal stout which won the “Best in Fest” brew competition held a few weeks ago. LAB Brewing Company operates out of Twisted Oak Tavern in Agoura Hills. Great entertainment from Benise, Spanish guitar master and worldwide recognized artist, and Wes Quave Live which covers favorite hits from several decades as well as offering original songs of its own will have you dancing the afternoon away to fabulous music.
Volunteers are an essential part of the Wine, Food & Brew Festival and the Festival organizers are still accepting sign-ups to help both setting up and taking down the event. Volunteers are especially needed starting on Tuesday, June 2nd through Thursday June 5th between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., though help is appreciated every day until the Festival. Volunteers help set up tents, tables, chairs, umbrellas, decorations, linens, decorative plants, etc. Just as important, volunteers are needed to help take down the event on Monday, June 8th and Tuesday June 9th, again from 9:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. Please contact Casa Pacifica’s Volunteer Coordinator, Sara Hidalgo, at (805) 366-4015 to sign up and be an integral part of ensuring the success of the Festival. As always, all proceeds from the Wine, Food & Brew Festival support the therapeutic programs and services Casa Pacifica Centers for Children and Families provide to abused, neglected, and at-risk children and their families in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.
The Festival is still welcoming exhibitors through June 1st, so it’s not too late to sign up and connect your name or business with this “Can’t Miss” event. For exhibitor information, contact Casa Pacifica Event Coordinator, Juliana Thiessen at (805) 366-4014, jthiessen@casapacifica.org or visit the Festival exhibitor page at www.cpwinefoodbrewfest.com.
Casa Pacifica encourages all Festival-goers to participate responsibly. Roundtrip reservations are available thru the Roadrunner Safe Ride Program by calling (805) 389-8196, or visiting http://www.rrshuttle.com/casapacificawinefestival.
