Last Week to Buy Tickets for the Casa Pacifica Angels Wine, Food & Brew Festival and Yummie Top Chef Dinner!

Camarillo, CA – It’s only one week away until two of Ventura County’s premier events take place - the Casa Pacifica Angels Wine, Food & Brew Festival – which will be held on Sunday, June 5th, 2016, from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at California State University Channel Islands; and the Yummie Top Chef Dinner, which will be held in the Festival’s VIP Lounge tent the Friday prior to the Festival on June 3rd. Tickets are still on sale for both events.

The Festival’s General Admission tickets are $125 each through June 3rd, then will sell for $150 at the door day of the Festival, unless sold out. VIP tickets are $250 through June 3rd, and will not be sold at the door the day of the event. To purchase tickets go to the Festival’s website at www.cpwinefoodbrewfest.com. The Wine, Food & Brew Festival will feature more than 75 restaurants and 150 wines, brews, and beverages. Excellent live entertainment including Benise’s Band of Gypsy’s and Wes Quave Live, an extensive silent auction, and the Yummie culinary competition will round out the exciting events of the day. The VIP Lounge, sponsored by Wells Fargo, will offer VIP guests access to special food and drink vendors including Magnavino Cellars; Plated Events by Chef Jason; the Anheuser Belgium Beer Garden offering Stella Artois, Hoegaarden, and Leffe; Bloody Cure; Twenty88 Restaurant & Bar; Channel Islands Distillery; and Bread Basket Cake Company. And the band Sound Effect will entertain the VIP crowd throughout the day.

The fabulous Yummie Top Chef dinner will bring together several of the region’s top chefs – all of whom happen to be former Yummie culinary competition winners from previous Wine, Food & Brew Festivals – to present an incomparable seven-course feast to more than 150 fortunate guests. This year’s chefs include:  Chef Ernie Borjas of Waterfront Catering Co.; Chef Jason Collis of Plated Events; Alison Davis of Sugar Lab Bake Shop; Barry Davis, owner of Scoops Creamery; Missy Drayton-Benado, owner of Missy’s Cupcake Creations; Chef Gabe Garcia of Tierra Sur at Herzog Cellars; Chef Robin Higa of Market Broiler; Chef Nic Manocchio of University Glen at CSU Channel Islands; Chef John Paolone of Café Firenze and Firenze Osteria; and Chef Alex Castillo of Twenty88 Restaurant & Bar. Each of the dinner’s courses will be specially paired with local winemakers’ best selections. One course will feature the winning handcrafted ale from the “Best in Fest” brew competition that took place one-month prior to the Festival.

In addition to the sumptuous dinner, guests will enjoy live music by crooner Danny D. to go with the Dinner’s “Vintage Hollywood Glam” theme, and they will be treated to a special just-for-the-event cocktail stirred up by Twenty88 Restaurant & Bar. As was the case last year, the highlight of the evening will be when each of the Yummie Top Chef Dinner chefs escape the kitchen to share with the dinner guests about their recipe for the course being served, along with some professional techniques.

All proceeds from the Yummie Top Chef Dinner and the Angels Wine, Food & Brew Festival support the therapeutic programs and services Casa Pacifica Centers for Children and Families provide to abused, neglected, and at-risk children and their families in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.
