Camarillo, CA – Casa Pacifica is thrilled to announce that Celebrity Chef Duff Goldman will join the panel of culinary judges for the 2015 Yummies Top Chef Culinary Competition held each year at the Casa Pacifica Angels Wine, Food & Brew Festival! Chef Duff is currently the host of Food Network’s “Duff Till Dawn” and the new “Kids Baking Championship.” His popular “Ace of Cakes” show on the same network is still in reruns. Chef Duff is the owner of Charm City Cakes, with locations in West LA and on the East Coast. His bakeries construct incredible creations made of cake, frosting, and fondant for birthdays, weddings, showers, and special events – like his masterpiece for the Super Bowl of an exuberant fan straddling his leather recliner, remote lifted high, which was 7’ tall and 60 square feet in total. In addition, he offers a line of baking supplies on his website, Duff.com, including pans, utensils, decorating supplies, cake mixes, cake tattoos and graffiti, icing, and of course, fondant. And, he has opened an LA store where people can come and decorate cakes for fun.

Chef Duff will join celebrity emcee Oded Fehr (of “The Mummy” films fame) and other culinary experts on Sunday, June 7th,  at the beautiful California State University Channel Island’s campus in Camarillo where they will judge the top chef creations from among Festival exhibitors who sign up for the Yummie competition. The judges will award first, second, and third place honors in both Savory and Sweet categories. Entries presented by the competitors must be the same as the samples offered to guests at the Festival. With Chef Duff sitting on the judges’ panel, the competitors are no doubt creating something extra special!  To learn more about the Yummie competition and its celebrity judges, visit the Festival website at www.cpwinefoodbrewfest.com.

The Wine, Food & Brew Festival is scheduled for 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm. on Sunday, June 7th. The Angels are excited to welcome back to the Festival their generous Hosts, the Zarley Family, Van Huisen Family, and Union Bank! The Festival will once again offer its unbeatable array of exhibitors offering delicious food samples from fabulous restaurants, caterers, bakeries, and specialty shops, and the palette-pleasing tastes of fine wines, feisty brews, and specialty beverages from throughout California. A Silent Auction and live entertainment will round out the day. All proceeds from the Festival will benefit the many vital campus- and community-based programs and services Casa Pacifica provides to abused, neglected, and at-risk children and their families.

The Wine, Food & Brew Festival is still welcoming sponsors! Be part of the fun and support the vital services Casa Pacifica provides to our community’s most vulnerable children and families. It’s not too late to sign up and connect your name or business with this “Can’t Miss” event!
