Casa Pacifica Angels Wine, Food & Brew Festival’s Yummie Culinary Competition to Name Top Chefs
Camarillo, CA – This year’s Casa Pacifica Angels Wine, Food & Brew Festival, scheduled for June 5th, will proudly feature the 6th annual Yummie Culinary Competition. The Yummie contest determines the best of the best among Festival exhibitors - Ventura County’s top restaurants and chefs – in an action-packed showdown. Celebrity emcee, Oded Fehr, known for his roles in “The Mummy” films, “Resident Evil,” and in the TV series “Charmed,” will welcome the top chefs as they fire up their stations and compete for first, second, or third place in both Savory and Sweet categories, as well as narrate the action as the judges determine their favorites.
The Yummie competition is judged by a panel of Celebrity Culinary Judges comprised of television and print media personalities, food editors and columnists based on which chef’s dish they feel is outstanding, or the “yummiest.” This year’s select panel of celebrity culinary judges includes Chef de Cuisine for University Glen Corporation and three-time Yummie winner, Nic Manocchio; Masa Shimakawa, Chef de Cuisine of ONYX at the Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village; Master Chef competitor, fashion stylist, and creative consultant, Olivia Crouppen; Troy Glass, competitor on Master Chef Junior, actor, and aspiring chef; Lisa McKinnon, food columnist for the Ventura County Star; Rita Moran, food critic for the Ventura County Star; and Sarene Wallace, Editor of Edible Ojai and Ventura County. The judges will use their expert knowledge and tasting skills to find the best entry in each category judged on flavor, presentation, innovation, and quality. The Yummies culinary competition winners will earn bragging rights and receive a fabulous prize package. For more information about the Yummies competition and past winners please visit the Wine, Food & Brew Festival website at www.cpwinefoodbrewfest.com.
