Like many other nonprofits and event organizers, Casa Pacifica has had to cancel or modify many of their traditional events and focus their efforts online. In lieu of Casa Pacifica’s biggest fundraising event, the Annual Angels Wine, Food & Brew Festival normally held in June, only the online silent auction was available this year. The upcoming Care for Kids Golf Classic, hosted by the Rotary Clubs of Camarillo is also making modifications, forgoing the traditional cocktail hour and sit down dinner following the day of golf. The Angels Spotlight on Style Fashion Show is also making adjustments, normally held at The Four Seasons Hotel in Westlake Village, is opting for a virtual fashion show and online silent auction, tickets on sale soon.
“We want to be able to connect with our incredible community and also showcase and support the local chefs who are so generous and supportive of Casa Pacifica. The Cook for Casa Pacifica event will be a fun way to bring the community together safely, with the added bonus of learning some new recipes from great chefs and getting to cook their delicious dishes right in our own kitchens,” said Carrie Hughes, Chief Development Officer for Casa Pacifica.
Casa Pacifica’s fundraising events contribute to their $3.9 million fundraising goal needed annually to cover the gap that exists between what Casa Pacifica receives in government, county, and ‘fee for service’ programs and the actual costs of providing its programs.
