Bread Basket Cake Company Creates Show-Stopping Cake for the 25th Anniversary of Casa Pacifica Angels Wine, Food & Brew Festival
Camarillo, CA May 14, 2018 – Tuesday, May 22nd, Bread Basket Cake Company will be creating a cake to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Casa Pacifica Angels Wine, Food & Brew Festival. Apple TV will be on hand to document the creative process for their Big Review TV show. Paul Delganes, co-owner of Bread Basket along with his husband Gilbert Delganes, teased a few details of the masterpiece. “I want to do something fun for the kids. I want to incorporate them somehow because that’s why we’re all here – to help the kids!”
Bread Basket is the Festival’s longest running supporter. From the Festival’s humble beginning in 1994 at The Pierpont Inn, Bread Basket has been there, helping make the event sweeter. When the Festival moved to Capistrano’s at Mandalay Bay Embassy Suites in 2001, Bread Basket followed, along with their delicious chocolate truffles which had become a Festival staple and favorite of the guests. The Festival made its most recent move in 2007 to CSU Channel Islands where it is still held today. Bread Basket continues to provide their gourmet handmade truffles for the now thousands of patrons. Along with the Festival, Bread Basket has also grown into one of Ventura County’s most beloved institutions.
Bread Basket has been voted Ventura County’s Best Bakery for more than 15 years. They have been invited to create pastries for Bon Appetite, Williams-Sonoma, Taste of Los Angeles, Wendy Williams Show, Wolfgang Puck’s American Wine & Food Festival and several private client celebrities. They are frequently highlighted in various print media: Modern Bride, Westlake Magazine, Inside Weddings and the Los Angeles Times; and featured on pop-culture TV shows The Wedding Story and Queer Eye for the Straight Girl. The Bread Basket Cake Company has a reputation for creating the finest and most unique specialty cakes. They have designed and presented cakes for the Kids’ Choice, MTV Movie, Emmy, and Golden Globe Awards, as well as the Oscars gift lounge.
All proceeds from the Wine, Food & Brew Festival will benefit the vital programs and services Casa Pacifica provides to the community’s most vulnerable children and their families.
