A Few Tickets Still Available for Casa Pacifica’s Speakeasy Yummie Top Chef Dinner on June 2nd

Camarillo, CA May 15, 2017 – A few tickets are still available to Casa Pacifica’s 4th annual Yummie Top Chef Dinner, taking place on Friday, June 2nd – bringing together several of Ventura County’s best chefs and top tier wineries to create an unforgettable epicurean event. The dinner kicks off the festivities for the annual Angels Wine, Food & Brew Festival - which follows on Sunday, June 4th. This year’s Speakeasy theme promises to deliver a rip-roaring fun time!

The Cassar Family will be hosting the intimate behind-the-scenes dinner for fourth year in a row, and are joined by other Yummie Top Chef Dinner sponsors including Wells Fargo, Procter & Gamble; Pacific Western Bank; Rosalind Warner, M.D. & Michael Hogan, M.D.; Nevers, Palazzo, Packard, Wildermuth & Wynner, PC; Central Coast Properties; Cohen, Begun & Deck, LLP; and Richard and Marilyn Stoddard.

Set in the Festival’s VIP Lounge, the select group of our region’s top chefs – all of whom are former Yummie culinary competition winners from previous Wine, Food & Brew Festivals – will present an incomparable seven-course feast to more than 200 fortunate guests. Each of the courses will be specially paired with local winemakers’ best selections. One course will feature the winning handcrafted ale, Enegren Brewing Company’s “Maibock,” from the “Best in Fest” brew competition that took place on April 30th.

In addition to the sumptuous dinner, guests will enjoy live music, featuring singer Danny D., reminiscent of the 1920s Speakeasy era; drinks featuring Tito’s Handmade Vodka mixed by Twenty88 Gourmet Fusion’s mixologist; and a special performance by Burlesque dancers! Top Chef Dinner chefs and the wine and brew makers are the highlight of the evening, however, when they join the guests to share the special details of their contributions.

Expert culinary master chefs (and their current affiliations) who will be participating include:  last year’s Savory category winner, Chef Alex Castillo of Twenty88 Gourmet Fusion; last year’s 3rd place Savory winner, Chef Bernardo Rodriguez of Ojai Beverage Company; three-time Yummie winner Chef Nic Manocchio of University Auxiliary Services of CSU Channel Islands; two-time winner Chef Ernie Borjas of The Waterfront Catering Co.; as well as one-time winners Chef John Paolone of Café Firenze; and Chef Jason Collis of Plated Events by Chef Jason, who also caters the VIP Lounge for the Festival.

A trio of delicious desserts will be provided by former Yummie Sweet category winners including last year’s 3rd place winner, Patty Brown of Dottie’s Sweet Delights; Alison Davis, owner of Sugar Lab Bake Shop; and Yvonne Drayton, owner of Missy’s Cupcake Creations. Wineries joining in on the festivities include Cantara Cellars, Carina Cellars, Magnavino Cellars, Opolo Vineyards, and Rombauer Vineyards. For up-to-date information on participating chefs and winemakers, please visit the Yummie Top Chef Dinner page at www.cpwinefoodbrewfest.com.

If you would like to be a part of this one-of-a-kind extraordinary experience, a few tickets are still available at $200 per person, but are expected to sell out soon. Guests must be 21 years of age and older; seating is limited. The Wine, Food & Brew Festival itself will take place on Sunday, June 4th, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at California State University Channel Islands and will feature more than 85 restaurants and 150 wines, brews, and beverages. Live entertainment, an extensive silent auction, and the Yummie culinary competition will round out the exciting events of the day. The Festival is still welcoming sponsors and exhibitors, so it’s not too late to sign up and connect your name or business with this “Can’t Miss” event by taking advantage of some great sponsorship opportunities!
