Dear Parents, Guardians, and concerned community members:
The purpose of this notice is to share information in our response to the coronavirus (COVID-19). Our highest priority is the safety of the youth in our care and our staff. Even as COVID-19 in California continues to decrease, we remain committed to doing our part to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Importantly, throughout the pandemic, all of our programs have remained open and continued to provide services to youth in our care. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, all our staff are required to follow COVID-19 best practices, including wearing a mask, social distancing, maintaining proper hygiene, and staying home when they feel unwell. We continue to highly encourage our staff to get vaccinated and have provided opportunities on-site to receive these vaccinations.
In addition to the above measures, we have worked with Public Health to ensure a robust COVID-19 safety program. This includes random testing of employees at our Lewis Rd campus, and a medical quarantine and isolation plan as needed.
Visitation and home passes are assessed on a case by case basis, taking into consideration local community spread and the health and welfare of our clients and staff on campus.
Finally, we continue to monitor updates from the Centers for Disease Control (
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html), the World Health Organization (
https://www.who.int/), and VC Emergency (
https://www.vcemergency.com) regarding COVID-19. We will continue to seek guidance from these agencies and public health officials, and we will update you as new information becomes available. We are committed to making our organization a safe place for all.
Should you have questions or concerns, please contact us at 805-366-4040.
Regards,
Shawna Morris, MPA
