Grant will strengthen person-centered care coordination and community support for Medi-Cal members.

CAMARILLO, Calif., December 19, 2026 — Casa Pacifica Centers for Children and Families has been awarded $941,276.28 through the California Department of Health Care Services’ (DHCS) Providing Access and Transforming Health (PATH) Capacity and Infrastructure, Transition, Expansion, and Development (CITED) initiative. The funding will allow Casa Pacifica to expand its ability to deliver Enhanced Care Management (ECM) and Community Supports as part of California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM), DHCS’ statewide transformation effort to create a more coordinated, person-centered, and equitable health system.

Enhanced Care Management and Community Supports organizations play a pivotal role in providing essential care and services to Medi-Cal managed care members with the highest needs. Services are delivered directly in the community by community-based organizations and providers, ensuring that health care reaches the community’s most vulnerable individuals.

The PATH CITED award will enable Casa Pacifica to grow its capacity to serve more children, youth, and families facing mental health challenges, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive.

“Receiving this grant is both an honor and a vital investment in the well-being of vulnerable youth and families in our community,” said Shawna Morris, President and CEO, Casa Pacifica. “This funding allows Casa Pacifica to build our capacity to serve the most vulnerable members of our community and strengthens our ability to provide comprehensive, person-centered care. We are proud to work alongside the state of California to address pressing mental health needs and make a lasting impact for vulnerable children and families.”

Across California, PATH CITED funding has already strengthened local providers, expanded access to services, and improved outcomes for Medi-Cal members. By empowering organizations like Casa Pacifica, DHCS is helping ensure that children and youth in historically under-resourced communities have access to high-quality, community-based mental health care.

PATH is a five-year, $1.85 billion initiative launched in 2022, providing funds for community-based organizations, county agencies, hospitals, Tribes, and other community providers to support improved health care management and delivery through the Medi-Cal system. Recipients of PATH CITED awards are committed to serving historically under-resourced and underserved populations.
