Every November, Casa Pacifica comes together to provide Thanksgiving meals for families receiving our therapeutic services in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. This annual tradition is our way of supporting at-risk children, young adults, and families, ensuring they feel cared for, connected, and able to celebrate the season despite the mental health challenges they are facing.
This year, we were proud to serve 200 families, a 35% increase from last year. Each meal is thoughtfully prepared to nourish both body and spirit, helping families create meaningful holiday memories and experience a sense of comfort and belonging.
The success of our Thanksgiving program is made possible by the generosity of Operation Gobble, a Thanksgiving program administered by Golden State Water Company, as well as the dedication of the incredible volunteers who helped package the meals. Their time, energy, and care allowed us to reach more families than ever and ensured that every meal was prepared with love.
At Casa Pacifica, we believe that care extends beyond therapeutic support. Providing these meals is one of the many ways we show families that they are valued, supported, and part of a compassionate community.
This Thanksgiving, as always, we were reminded that acts of kindness—like sharing a meal—can feed more than just the body; they can feed hope, connection, and resilience for every child, young adult, and family we serve.
