Pacifica's non-public special education school is a diploma-granting
institution, offering an education program designed to meet the
specific academic needs of each student. Fully certified with commendations
by the State Department of Education, the non-public school serves
children in the Residential Treatment Program as well as day students
from surrounding communities. The comprehensive curriculum enables
students to benefit from a wide variety of learning experiences
in order to build classroom skills and promote social growth.

A low student-teacher ratio - one teacher/aide for each three
children - enables students to receive the individualized
attention they require in order to be successful. Elective
classes include spanish, music, and student government.
Two computers in each classroom provide students opportunities to learn computer
skills and do research on the internet. The
school serves up to 54 children ranging in age from 8 years
old to eighteen. |

Casa Pacifica nonpublic school is pursuing accreditation by
the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), one of
the six regional associations that accredit public and private
schools, colleges and universities in the United States.
