Per Diem Therapist, Intern, Counselor for Crisis Intervention Program - Santa Maria
Exciting and rapidly growing Santa Barbara County based program has immediate PT opening with excellent pay and benefits package. Provide crisis intervention services via phone and in person to youth and families experiencing a mental health crisis. Provide short term cognitive-behavioral rehabilitation services to at-risk youth. Must have good working understanding of child and adolescent development, behavior management and family dynamics. Must have aptitude to deal with severely emotionally disturbed children/adolescents in a variety of settings.
Duties include but are not limited to: Responding to crisis calls immediately by phone and in person within one hour. Utilizing clinical skill set to deescalate and begin assessment to determine mental health needs, completing assessment regarding need for hospitalization (voluntary or 5150/5585). If hospitalization is required, has the ability to write a 5150/5585 hold (training provided) , will secure a hospital bed, and arrange for transportation of the client to the hospital when necessary.
Qualifications: MFCC/ LCSW CA license eligible, registered w/ BBS, with a minimum of three years experience working with severely emotionally disturbed adolescents doing family assessments and treatment, and behavior management; or, equivalent combination of education and experience. Bilingual desirable.
Per Diem: Per diem staff are defined as individuals who are paid an hourly rate to cover for departmental needs (vacant shifts, call outs, extra support). Hours will vary; must be able to cover one weekend shift a month.
Location: Santa Barbara County/Santa Maria Office
Wages: $24.00 hr + DOE
Wraparound Family Facilitator
Qualifications: Under the guidance of the Wraparound Program Manager and the Clinical Supervisor, the Family Facilitator coordinates and provides leadership in the development and implementation of service plans, provides direct services to children and their families and facilitates the integration and coordination of services. Assumes responsibility for the Family Service Plan management, implementation of services / coordination of resources (monitoring the Child and Family Plan expenses / budget and securing community team approval for overall budgeted plans); submits required billing forms and progress reports on a timely basis. Serves as a role model/advocate for families involved in the wraparound process and assists in the ongoing development and evaluation of the Wrap Around program.
Requirements: Master’s degree (preferably MSW, MSS) is required w/ at least two years experience working with SED/high risk children, adolescents, and their families within a mental health setting. Must be a Marriage & Family Therapy (MFT) Intern or MSW Intern. Qualified candidates must have strong case management/facilitation skills and the ability to engage parents as partners in the treatment of their child.
Individual must also demonstrate leadership qualities and have the ability to successfully work with families from diverse ethnic and cultural groups. Candidate must also and have experience with crisis management. Bilingual is highly preferred.
Location: Santa Barbara County- Santa Maria
Wages: $42,000.00 yearly + DOE
Hours: M-F/ Flexible schedule (Must be flexible to meet the needs of the family) with rotating on-call requirement
Crisis Care Specialist I, SAFTY Program
Qualifications: Exciting Santa Barbara County based program has immediate opening in our Santa Barbara office for a FT position, with competitive pay and benefits package. Under the guidance of the Program Manager, the candidate is responsible for implementing intensive response services, follow-up case management and linkage to appropriate services to at-risk children and families in Santa Barbara County using the appropriate S.A.F.T.Y. services, i.e., immediate response to emergency referrals via telephone and face to face within 60 minutes, deescalating crises, ensuring the safety of youth and others in the immediate situation and provide follow-up with the youth and family, completing assessments regarding need for hospitalization (voluntary or 5150/5585), will secure a hospital bed, and arrange for transportation of the client to the hospital when necessary.
Requirements: Licensed eligible MSW or MFT Intern. Must have strong organizational, communication and leadership skills. Must also have a valid CA driver’s license with clean driving record, proof of insurance and be willing to abide by Casa Pacifica travel policy.) Intern/trainee hours may be provided. Travel within Santa Barbara County + on-call schedule (one overnight per week and one weekend day per month) required. Flexible hours required. Competitive salary/excellent benefits package.
